You don't always have to go to the Orpheum Theater or to Hollywood for a good play!  You can go to Broadway!  522 South Broadway that is!!!  I am so thankful for the many gifts that the Lord has placed in the church.  We have so many playwrights here at New Mt. Pleasant and they are good too!  Some of the presentations we have had include 'The Court of Life' and 'All I Want For Christmas'.  Sister Viola Spencer and the Reverend Angela Elliott have written plays that were a spiritual success and gave glory to the Father in Heaven.  So, the next time you hear about a play taking place at New Mt. Back-to-Back Spring Revivals
It is revival time again!  Bishop-Elect Brown will be in revival the weeks of April 16-18 & April 30-May 2 and he definitely seeks your prayers and fastings on his behalf.  During the week of April 16th to the 18th, he will be in revival at the St. John Full Gospel Baptist Church in Osceola, Arkansas where the pastor is the Rev. On April 26, 2008 at 4:30 pm, New Mt. Pleasant M.B. Church will be the site of a World Harvest Covenant Churches International Fellowship Consecration. Sr. Pastor Gregory L. Brown of the New Mt. Pleasant M.B. Church currently located at 619 South Broadway, Osceola, Arkansas, will be consecrated to the office of Bishop having been selected to preside over the WHCCIF Region of Arkansas, Missouri, and Louisiana. Members of the Fellowship’s Presbytery will be in town to perform the service. World Harvest Covenant Churches International Fellowship is a fellowship and not an organization comprised of many different Christian denominations. Its goal is to come along side ministries to aide and assist them in achieving the Kingdom mandate. More information concerning WHCCIF is available through Bishop-Elect Brown of the New Mt. Well, the calendar New Year has arrived and of course with it came New Year's resolutions.  I want to encourage each of you to put aside resolutions and just do it!  Your overall health should be a top priority this year.  Members of the New Mt. Pleasant Family will be participating in 24-hour fasts on the 8th, 18th, & 28th of each month and an extra two days (1st & 31st) during August and December.  This will bring us to a total of 40 days of fasting for the year 2008.  In addition to fasting, you must include exercise of the physical as well as the spiritual sort.  I have pasted a link to a page on physical fitness that I found to be very informational concerning how healthy we really are.  Also, visit our Health & Wellness Ministry Page to see another link concerning your internal health.

T J's Place
There is a hot new restaurant in Blytheville!  It is called T J's Place, named after the late Bishop T.J. All the way from East St. Louis, Illinois, the voice of the Bishop will be ringing from the pulpit of New Mt. Pleasant M.B. Church as they celebrate the Second Appreciation services of their Pastor and Wife.  The Pastor of the First Freewill Baptist Church, Bishop W.C. Brown, will be the Special Guest Speaker for the climax of these services.  Bishop Brown is the uncle of Senior Pastor Gregory L. Brown and is no stranger to these parts.  He was raised in this area and has conducted many revivals for local churches.  If you have never had the opportunity to hear a Word from the Lord through this awesome vessel of God, you do not want to miss this opportunity.  He is widely known for many of his "life-stories" that are told as he preaches the Word of God and for his style and gestures.  Do your very best to be there for this special event of Love!

Women's Conference

Clothes Giveaway
If you weren't there, you missed a blessed treat.  There were 75 to 100 people that came out and received various items of need.  Although the temperature was around 37 degrees, there was a smoking BBQ grill, people hiding Easter eggs for the children and parishioners that were getting clothes, shoes, hats, and other household items.  A special thanks goes out to Brother Elroy Brown of the Arkansas Tobacco-Free Coalition for coming out and encouraging all the children and adults that tobacco is bad for your health.  Everyone at New Mt. Praises to Chamber of Commerce
